Energy weapon

Ray guns were a name sometimes used for energy weapons, usually of the hand-held type.

Races and individuals who used ray guns

• The Moroks used ray guns. (DW: The Space Museum)

• The Daleks referred to their own gunsticks as ray guns. (DW: The Daleks' Master Plan)
• Jamie McCrimmon and the Second Doctor referred to the Chameleons' weaponry as having ray guns. (DW: The Faceless Ones)
• The Second Doctor invented a ray gun which he tested on an unnamed planet. When the Master of Spiders attacked them, he used the ray gun to kill one spider and to destroy the Master's mechanical spider. (TVC: Master of Spiders)
