Mandy Tanner was a twelve-year-old girl travelling aboard Starship UK.
Biography
Mandy was Timmy's friend. Whilst she got good marks in a test, he received a zero and was sent 'below'. Mandy knew he was sent 'below' due to his disappearance. She was in London Market, being watched by the Doctor and Amy Pond from the TARDIS. Amy followed Mandy, and when Mandy hid against a wall, Amy walked by, and Mandy told Amy to stop following her. Amy gave Mandy the purse that the Doctor took when he bumped into her four times.
She and Amy found a hole in the road. Mandy warned her not to go into the tent above the hole. Amy ignored her and came back in shock, then was knocked out by the Winders. Mandy waited for her in the voting booth, and explained to the Doctor, who had just joined them, that everyone chooses to forget what they learnt. When the Doctor pressed the Protest button, Mandy was locked outside, whilst Amy and the Doctor dropped down a chute to 'below'. The Queen approached her in a mask and Mandy went with her to find the Doctor and Amy. They witnessed the Queen shoot some Smilers. She was then taken to the tower of London, where she found Timmy. A part of the Star Whale approached Mandy and Timmy, and was gentle with them. Amy realised that the Star Whale had volunteered for the job of taking the ship, not wanting to see the children cry.
