According to Gwen Cooper, a Roman fort was built in Gelligaer around 75 AD. When a Roman Soldier mentioned Gelligaer while shouting in Latin, Jack Harkness suggested that the soldier was on his way there and when time splintered he ended up in their present. (DW: End of Days)
