Keystroke templates are those templates which graphically represent the use of certain keystrokes. They have no real use in the main namespace, but are quite helpful in giving instruction to other users, as in help files. A document which makes some use of this type of template is T:MAC SPELL.
These templates will likely be locked by default, simply because altering these templates could have an unexpected knock-on effect on a number of relatively obscure pages.
