His first article was commissioned by outgoing editor Sheila Cranna in 1987, and he continued to contribute occasional interviews and a series of annual reports from the Dr Who Exhibitions at Longleat, MoMI and others during her successor John Freeman's editorship. Between 1994 & 1996, his (often first-time) interview subjects included director Michael Hayes, Radio Times Art Editor David Driver, K-9 actor John Leeson, a 3-part presentation of an unseen interview with former Producer Graham Williams, and a number of Designers including Michael Young (The Massacre), Richard McManan-Smith (The Armageddon Factor, City of Death, Time-Flight) and Roger Cheveley (The War Games) - the latter of whom provided an exclusive selection of previously unseen colour slides from Patrick Troughton's final adventure. According to the BBC's page,[statement unclear] he appeared as Kiv in DW: Dimensions in Time(a costume he had purchased in the Bonham's Dr Who auction of 1991). He later appeared on the BBC DVD "fan commentary" of "Dr Who: The Monster of Peladon" ep.4 alongside moderator Toby Hadoke, Kate du Rose and writers Rob Shearman and Mark Aldridge.
