Contradictions

This page contains a contradiction. The first paragraph states that Lloyd was producer until the end of the Patrick Troughton era. The second paragraph says he held the post until TV: The Enemy of the World. The Producer page supports the 2nd paragraph but I don't want to make the edit for fear there is something more to this such as time spent as executive producer or line producer... --Stillnotginger 05:36, February 18, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up. Article probably should be wholly re-written as it's virtually ripped from Wikipedia. But for the moment, I fixed the complaint you mentioned. Nothing mysterious here. The only named exec producer in classic series history was Barry Letts; otherwise "producer" is synonymous with "line producer" on the 1963 series, and even associate producers were quite rare. Basically, for the 1963 series you're either "producer" or not. (The Julie Gardner/Piers Wenger brand of "executive producer" wasn't specifically credited on '63 Who; the head of drama was just assumed to be an exec producer, without offering specific credit. Hence why Sydney Newman was the "father" of DW without really being credited on screen for it.) CzechOut | 23:13, February 19, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for being braver than me and for all the further information. --Stillnotginger 05:49, February 20, 2010 (UTC)
