Channel 44000

Channel 44000 was the television channel that broadcast Big Brother in the year 200100, at a time when game shows were controlled by the Game Station and losers were apparently executed. In reality they were taken to become Daleks in the Dalek Emperor's plot to rebuild his race with him as a god. (TV: Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways)

Behind the scenes

• The channel's name is a reference to Channel 4 which formerly aired Big Brother. It is now owned by Channel 5 after Channel 4 cancelled the show. It is unclear if Channel 44000 is supposed to be what Channel 4 evolved into over millenia.
