• The title of the bar was never given on screen, but was spoken in the BBC Radio 7 commentary that accompanied the television broadcast of the conclusion to The End of Time. Spelling was specified by the script.
• The bar closely resembles the Mos Eisley Cantina from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.
• Several background aliens also appeared in the Maldovarium sequence of TV: The Pandorica Opens, including a red-skinned humanoid and an insect-headed creature resembling a Uvodni.
