Yeti Traversii

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference
Revision as of 22:15, 3 June 2013 by SOTO (talk | contribs) (appears to be official species designation, thus should be italicised.)

Yeti Traversii was one of the three species of Tibetan Yeti that had been formally identified and classified by 1984, they were discovered by Edward Travers. Unlike the Dzu-teh and Mih-teh Yetis, who were closely related to apes, the Yeti Traversii were more bear-like and very timid. In 1984, the London Zoo had a female Yeti Traversii named Mahamaya, which was successfully bred with a male from Peking. Their offspring was named Margaret for the Prime Minister, who she bit at a photocall. (PROSE: Downtime)
