Christie had written the novel by 1926 when she attended a garden party at the home of Lady Eddison. Since Lady Eddison had been reading the novel when the alien biology of her long-lost son, Reverend Arnold Golightly, was first awakened in a moment of anger, in this moment Golightly accidentally received the works of Agatha Christie as his style of the murders. The Eighth Doctor owned a signed first edition printing of The Murder of Roger Ackroyd which was missing the last page. (AUDIO: Storm Warning) It was a birthday present from Samson and Gemma Griffin. (AUDIO: Terror Firma)
