Polystyle Publications, Ltd. was the publisher for virtually all the English-language comic strips of the 1960s and 1970s. They bought the company that had been publishing TV Comic — TV Publications, Ltd. — when the run of Doctor Who comic strips began. While they were in business, the published all the magazines in which Doctor Who ran, including TV Comic, Countdown, and TV Action. In 1979, they lost their license with the BBC to Marvel Comics (UK), who then began publishing Doctor Who Weekly.
