Robert Moloney played Professor Alistair Gryffen in K9. He has also made appearances in such science fiction series as Stargate SG-1, The Outer Limits, Smallville and The Twilight Zone. Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Moloney is the first Canadian actor to have an ongoing role in a Doctor Who-related series, and his character is the first Canadian in an ongoing role.
