Images[[edit source]]

You recently upload an image for The Man Who Never Was. Unfortunately it violated several images requirements.

1) Firstly, it contained a network logo. This is not allowed and is a reason many images have been deleted. Please make sure all images that are upload contain no network logo (i.e. BBC, CBBC, Ten etc)

2) The image was blurry. All images should be nice and clear. The image would have looked terrible on the page and worse if it had been used as a thumbnail images.

3) The images contained a border. No images should contain a border, however narrow, because it can reduce and make images harder to see when they are on a page.

I would consider looking at Tardis:Image use policy for more details. MM/Want to talk? 19:44, January 31, 2012 (UTC)

New editing track[[edit source]]

Nope. No new editing tracks for at least another three weeks. Stubs would be deeply inappropriate, anyway. I'm not about to put every stub into category:Stubs, which would be required in order for the editing track to work. That would unravel the very fabric of the stub system. At some point in the future — and there's a reason why editing tracks are released as and when they are — I might consider putting one of the individual stub categories, like Astronomical object stubs in an editing track. Don't count on it, though. The point of the Game of Rassilon is to highlight categories that are not otherwise highlighted. The stub templates themselves are arguably enough of a highlight.

Christmas cheer[[edit source]]

Happy holidays!

As this fiftieth anniversary year comes to a close, we here at Tardis just want to thank you for being a part of our community — even if you haven't edited here in a while. If you have edited with us this year, then thanks for all your hard work.

This year has seen an impressive amount of growth. We've added about 11,000 pages this year, which is frankly incredible for a wiki this big. November was predictably one of the busiest months we've ever had: over 500 unique editors pitched in. It was the highest number of editors in wiki history for a year in which only one programme in the DWU was active. And our viewing stats have been through the roof. We've averaged well over 2 million page views each week for the last two months, with some weeks seeing over 4 million views!

We've received an unprecedented level of support from Wikia Staff, resulting in all sorts of new goodies and productive new relationships. And we've recently decided to lift almost every block we've ever made so as to allow most everyone a second chance to be part of our community.

2014 promises to build on this year's foundations, especially since we've got a full, unbroken series coming up — something that hasn't happened since 2011. We hope you'll stick with us — or return to the Tardis — so that you can be a part of the fun!
