Information
Captain Jack's Monster Files are a series of online videos that tell the viewer about the alien/monster/enemies from the past and present. The information is given by Captain Jack Harkness, who tells the viewer facts, figures and top secret information about the aliens. The clips and videos are often depicted as being information acquired by the Torchwood Institute over the years. Several of the episodes include footage of Jack in the Torchwood 3 Hub; it's not known if these videos are intended to be considered in-universe canon, and therefore created by Jack for reasons unknown.
Produced and directed by Ian Smith [1] in BBC Wales and written by Justin Richards [2] The videos are streamed via the BBC's official Doctor Who website; like virtually all videos on the site (as of 2008), the clips are "geolocked" due to licensing and are technically not allowed to be viewed outside of the UK.
