Biology

The Teller was a large telepathic creature with mobile eye-stalks. It was able to sense guilt and liquefy a human's brain through its telepathic capability. Primarily brown in colour, there was a mottled pink on the underside of the eye stalks and surrounding the mouth. The eye stalks themselves were attached on either side of the head, like horns , and curved around to point forward. The ends of it's eye stalks had three flap-like protuberances that surrounded it's eyeball, and they would move often flex when the creature used it's telepathic ability. It appeared to be a heavy creature as it made booming noises as it walked. The Teller was capable of emitting a wave that would reduce the brain of a human to 'soup'. ( TV: Time Heist: The Doctor)It would do this by bringing it's eye stalks together and emitting a wave of expanding energy towards it's victims head. The wave could be viewed as a semi-transparent emittance. It had a small tail like appendage at the base of it's back and long sharp claws.

History

The Teller was one of the last two of it's kind , and did Ms Delphox's bidding as she kept the only other of it's species imprisoned. The creature killed many people under duress, but only wanted to free it's companion, when prompted by The Doctor. The Doctor took both of The Tellers' kind to a planet where they could live free of the tormenting thoughts of others, far away from civilisation.
