Castor and Pollux were brothers from Greek mythology. The sons of Leda and Zeus (who had taken the form of a swan), Castor was a skilled horse tamer, and Pollux was a pugilist. Castor's name was used for other things, including a place near Peterborough, Olive Oyl's brother in Popeye cartoons, and a Century class spaceship. (PROSE: Wooden Heart)
