Andy Frankham-Allen[source needed] wrote PROSE: The Dead Man's Story, PROSE: Sedna and PROSE: The Misadventure of Mark Thorne. He also wrote the reference book Companions: Fifty Years of Doctor Who Assistants. He is the range editor of Candy Jar Books Lethbridge-Stewart series of novels, and wrote The Ambush, a short story prelude to the series that appeared in DWM #483.

He started off writing as Andrew Frankham with The Dead Man's Story, and continued as Andy Frankham with his following two short trip stories. He changed his writing name to Andy Frankham-Allen when The Dead Man's Story when it was reprinted in the Short Trips RE:Collections book, and has continued with that name ever since.
