Mad Norwegian Press is a company that has published a variety of books related to Doctor Who and its spin-offs. The name of the company stems from the fact that it was founded by Norwegians who consider themselves to be mad.
Faction Paradox
Mad Norwegian began its association with Doctor Who by publishing the Faction Paradox series of novels and audio adventures. Although this series is inspired by events from Doctor Who continuity it is not always considered to be part of the Doctor Who fictional universe.
This is due to licensing laws which required many names to be changed, and as such it is this wiki's policy not to include information relating to the series. The series does have its own wiki however, the Faction Paradox Wiki.
Reference Guides
Mad Norwegian Press began publishing the series of About Time reference books in 2004. A total of seven volumes have been published so far, each focusing on different production eras, up to the second season of the revived series. Another two volumes have also been announced for publication at a later date.
AHistory was a reference book first published in 2006. As a linear timeline of the Doctor Who universe, revised editions were published in 2007 and 2012 as later stories were produced.
Chicks Dig Time Lords: A Celebration of Doctor Who by the Women Who Love It was published in 2009, an anthology of essays by, and interviews with, various women closely associated with the series. It was subsequently awarded the Hugo Award for "Best Related Work". A follow up, Chicks Unravel Time: Women Journey Through Every Season of Doctor Who was published in 2012 and also nominated for a Hugo, but lost out to the Writing Excuses podcast.
Continuing in a similar vein as the Chicks books, Queers Dig Time Lords: A Celebration of Doctor Who by the LGBTQ Fans Who Love It was published in 2013, and features an introduction by John Barrowman.
Other titles include the Time Unincorporated: The Doctor Who Fanzine Archives series, and Running Through Corridors.
