Professor Kettering was a scientist and Emil Keller's assistant on the Keller Machine. He demonstrated its first use in Stangmoor Prison to the press. He refused to listen to the Doctor's warnings about the Machine's dangers, and it killed him by turning his fear of drowning against him. (DW: The Mind of Evil)
