Control was a computer controlling Platform One. It could "speak" to the Steward by emitting a beeping sound from the speaker in his office, but could activate recorded messages over the PA system at will. Control did whatever the Steward told it to do, but when Cassandra O'Brien.Δ17's Metal Spiders overrided the system, Control deactivated the shields, but The Doctor reactivated Control's common sense and it returned the shields. Control has since controlled Platform One.
