Marshal V was born in 2318. His father Marshal Summerfield IV gave Marshal V his position as director of Caprisi Military Academy.
In 2344, he had his only child: a girl he named Cathy Summerfield.
In 2360, Cathy announced on her sixteenth birthday that was going become an androgyne and change her name to Cathal. This disappointed Marshal and in 2362 he died "of a broken heart".
