BBC Books is the book publishing arm of the BBC Corporation. It is well known for publishing the novel adventures of the Eighth, Ninth and Tenth Doctors.

BBC Books took over the publishing of Doctor Who novels from Virgin Publishing in 1996 when the 1996 TV Movie was made.

BBC Books started the EDA (Eighth Doctor Adventures) and PDA (Past Doctor Adventures) novel ranges.

The first EDA to be published by BBC Books was Terrence Dicks' The Eight Doctors, whilst the first PDA was Keith Topping and Martin Day's The Devil Goblins from Neptune.

BBC Books merged the EDA and PDA ranges when the new 2005 Doctor Who series was started. BBC Books now focuses on publishing fiction and non-fiction works relating to the new BBC Wales produced Doctor Who series.
