Wolsey the cat, was a cat given to Seventh Doctor. Following his incarnation into his 8th body and subsequently meeting back up with Bernice Summerfield, the Doctor passed Wolsey to Bernice to watch over her.
Biography
Wolsey the cat originally belonged to Joan Redfern. She gives Wolsey to the Doctor to 'guard' him.
Wolsey is made into a 'person' when a Perfecton missile hits the ship he and [[Bernice Summerfield are aboard.
In the Perfecton generated reality Wolsey is remade into a seven feet tall fully clothed cat with a large cavalier hat.
