Shalabar Scone was an explorer during the time of the 32nd Triumvirate on the planet Lahn. He mapped out a spice route through the Lahn desert.
Many years later, Scone was a figure of legend. When Estrella did her history doctorate, her thesis was on Scone. She travelled along Scone's spice route in a caravan with the Twelfth Doctor. After a skirmish with Lahndinians, the Doctor and Estrella continued travelling along the route on a flying carpet. (COMIC: The Spice Route)
