Thanks for your recent edits! I'm Jimbo, your robot wiki representative! We hope you'll keep on editing with us. This is actually a great time to have joined, because we're now fully independent, and working on a host of new features!

We've got a couple of important quirks for a fan written wiki, so let's get them out of the way first.

British English, please

We generally use British English 'round these parts, so if you use another form of English, please be sure you set your spell checker to BrEng, and take a gander at our spelling cheat card.

Spoilers aren't cool

We have a strict definition of "spoiler" that you may find a bit unusual. Basically, a spoiler, to us, is anything that comes from a story which has not been released yet. So, even if you've got some info from a BBC press release or official trailer, it basically can't be referenced here. In other words, you gotta wait until the episode has finished its premiere broadcast to start editing about its contents. Please check the spoiler policy for more details.

Other useful stuff

Aside from those two things, we also have some pages that you should probably read when you get a chance, like:

If you're brand new to wiki editing — and we all were, once! —  you probably want to check out these tutorials at Wikipedia, the world's largest wiki:

Remember that you should always sign your comments on talk and vote pages using four tildes like this:

Editing articles

Hello. Just in response to the message left on Doug86's talk page. Different editors edit in different ways and often when you are reading through an article you see things at different points and it's often easier to edit in different sections rather than editing in one large slab. Additionally it's the very nature of a wiki that there will be frequent page edits (especially on an article such as Dalek).

Also just on a side note, the large gaps of space around the infoboxes on articles? It really makes the pages look odd when there are large gaps of space around the top of the article. Thanks. --Tangerineduel 13:03, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Infobox Gaps

Thanks for replying, I thought any replies would be offensive or annoyed that I asked a question. Responding to your side note, I haven't been adding large spaces/gaps to articles. I don't know why it happens, I usually undo edits of unnamed people, like on the companion page where I removed Sarah Jane Smith and K-9 Mark III. I'm not sure why it's adding gaps, cos I agree that it would look a bit strange... :S Will101 16:48, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
