James Norris was an architect and was Vanessa Prior's fiance. While trying to get passports for their honeymoon, he discovered she had no birth certificate or any legal documentation as to her mother's identity. When he, Tegan Jovanka and Atkins confronted Vanessa's father, they found him with Sadan Rassul. Rassul explained who and what Vanessa really was and then shot and killed Norris.
