Temple

A temple was a religious building for ceremonies of many kinds.^{[source needed]} Temples could be many shapes and sizes. They were usually quite large, but not always.^{[source needed]} Temples could also be called chapels, churches or cathedrals.^{[source needed]}

Temples could contain religious iconography, statuary and altars. They were used for many purposes: sacrificial ceremonies, celebrations, worship, specific and specilised ceremonies as well as just for hiding in. (PROSE: The Price of Paradise)^{[additional sources needed]}

There was a pyramid-shaped temple on an asteroid in the Rings of Akhaten that contained the Mummy. (TV: The Rings of Akhaten)
