A psychiatrist met with Owen Harper shortly after the death of his fiancée. Owen told him that he encountered a man with an American accent wearing a military uniform, and his fiancée and the doctor who treated her were killed by an alien creature. The psychiatrist told him that it was found the man Owen described wasn't there when the security footage was checked, the doctor died in a car crash, and his fiancée merely had an inoperable brain tumour. Owen refused to believe this and later found out that the "American", Jack Harkness, had removed evidence of him and the alien. (TV: Fragments)
