Lucius Cassius Ignotus was the head of the Ignotian family, the CEO of the Ignotian Corporation, and a significant politician in the City of the Saved.

Biography

First life

Lucius was born in 108 BC in Rome to Calpurnia and Gaius Cassius Ignotus. As he grew up, he was educated by a private tutor. From 90 BC to 88 BC, Ignotus served as a soldier under Pompeius Strabo in the Social War.

In 79 BC, Ignotus married Livilla. The same year, Ignotus appointed Senator of the Roman Republic, a position which he held until his death in 61 BC. (PROSE: Of the City of the Saved...)

The City of the Saved

Ignotus was resurrected in the City of the Saved in the Romuline District. He quickly established himself as a significant individual in the City by founding the Ignotian Corporation in AF 2. He opened the Ignotian Arena in AF 40.

Ignotus wrote a few books while living in the City: On Vulnerability in AF 81, The Life of Cato in AF 132, and On the Religion of Civitata in AF 203.

All the while, Ignotus also ascended the political ranks of the City. In AF 51, Ignotus began serving as a member of the Romuline District Senate. He began serving as the District's Consul in AF 104. He was elected Resident of Romuline in AF 142. In AF 282, Ignotus became a City Councillor.

Following the Antipathy crisis and the outbreak of the Civil War, Ignotus was elected Lord Mayor of the City of the Saved. (PROSE: Of the City of the Saved...)

As Lord Mayor, Ignotus was attacked by agents of the Sons of Tepes and converted into a vampire. (PROSE: A Hundred Words from a Civil War)
