Colin Morgan played Jethro Cane in Midnight.
Morgan was born 1st January 1986 in Armagh, Northern Ireland. After gaining a National Diploma in Performing Arts at Belfast Institute of Further & Higher Education in 2004, he went on to graduate from the prestigious Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 2007.
Morgan appeared on stage in 2007 as Esteban in the Old Vic stage adaptation of Pedro Almodóvar's Todo sobre mi madre, and took the title role in the Young Vic's adaptation of DBC Pierre's Vernon God Little.
Morgan featured in a number of minor roles in television programmes such as The Catherine Tate Show Christmas Special as John Leary in 2007, and the Doctor Who episode Midnight as Jethro Cane in 2008, before being cast in the title role in BBC TV series Merlin, another BBC Wales production filling the Saturday evening family drama slot. Merlin has been renewed for a second series on BBC One, scheduled for broadcast in the fall of 2009, while Series 1 aired on NBC in the United States (to generally low ratings) in the summer of 2009. Morgan is the seventh actor to appear in both Doctor Who and Merlin.
