Scrum was a Human in his forties who lived in the 26th century. He was a member of the crew of the Wayfarer, an old Naval cruiser. His job aboard the ship was a computer technician and was thought of as somewhat of a technical genius by the rest of the crew. He travelled with the crew to the planets Hurala and Arkheon. On Arkheon he was exterminated by the Daleks as he was of no use to them. (NSA: Prisoner of the Daleks)
