Prop delete

Unfortunately, the person who put the prop delete on the article left no kind of trail explaining why they'd done that. I think I disagree with the prop delete. However, something odd has happened to this article. It has morphed from an article about an individual to one about a race, I think to possibly draw a link between Gridlock and Captain Jack's bar in The End of Time. The part of the article that suggests Whitey describes a race, rather than a person, should be made stronger through the use of some kind of proof. Until then, this article should be reverted to one about an individaul, the conjecture tag should be slapped on it, and any attempt at connecting Gridlock to The End of Time should be removed. Some small things

Who would name their son Whitey? It's obvious that's the name of the species, or at least a colloquial name. I think we should add a {{Conjecture}} though. Also, someone has added something about the Zagizalgul bar being on Earth, when it is actually on Zog. I am going to remove this statement. I'm A Hydroponic Tomato! "Whitey" the character

This page began for the character played by Simon Pearsall in Gridlock who was referred to as a human with an extreme skin colour in Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia, an in-universe reference book. I've tried to point this out on the deletion rationale for this page and at Whitey but mini-mitch has been reverting the edits without any kind of rationale. Since the Encyclopedia also identifies uncredited actors who played parts it identifies as Red Man and Red Woman, it is also helps us make minor (Human) character pages instead of conjectured species pages.

And yes, I know "whitey" sounds bad. Its not his name but how he's credited. --Nyktimos 20:11, February 6, 2011 (UTC)

Leave Whitey as redirect till we come to a decision about what to do with the Humanoid characters. Creating them as a character page seems reasonable to me, but for the moment, leave it as a redirect. Mini-mitch\talk 20:14, February 6, 2011 (UTC)

No, the solution is in the credits. This article should be about Whitey. That's the best name we have. If we have Javit from this episode, we also should have Whitey. Sometimes, end credits are all you have. And end credits are superior resources to Doctor Who: The Encyclopedia, anyway. Obviously, out of universe info attached to the episode itself "wins" over OOU info not directly produced by BBC Wales. On this particular article, I don't know why we're even in dispute: the character is named, however disagreeably, by the episode. Trying to extrapolate a whole race out of one character is fairly illogical.
