Published in 1975, this annual was the tenth Doctor Who annual. This was the first of seven annuals to feature the Fourth Doctor on the cover. All stories within the annual are reflective of the Doctor/companion line up of the Fourth Doctor, Sarah Jane Smith and Harry Sullivan that had present in the television stories throughout 1975, however shortly after this annual was published Terror of the Zygons was broadcast with Harry Sullivan remaining on Earth as the Doctor and Sarah depart in the TARDIS.

Additional notes

Perhaps the most puzzling illustration in the book; of Harry, the Doctor, and Sarah Jane.
  • The Doctor is referred to throughout as "Dr Who" or "Doctor Who".
  • The comic strip stories and illustrations are provided by Paul Crompton.
  • The photographic cover uses a publicity shot of the Fourth Doctor.
  • A Dutch edition of this annual was also available. The content was the same as the UK edition, but did not feature the Spaceword puzzle.
  • Many of the illustrations in the book were clearly originally meant to be of Jon Pertwee but were later traced over to resemble Tom. Other illustrations do not resemble the characters portrayed at all - most notably those of Sarah. The illustrators, who often were given little in terms of reference material, consistently depict Harry as possessing a moustache.
  • A PDF of this annual was made available as a special feature on the Genesis of the Daleks dvd release.
