The Bernard was a unit of measurement coined by Malcolm Taylor, named for the rocket scientist Bernard Quatermass. A single Bernard was made up of precisely one hundred Malcolms. However, Malcolm Taylor had yet to think of a unit of measurement going past five hundred Bernards. (TV: Planet of the Dead)
