Kryten 2X4B 532P was a member of the crew of the mining ship Red Dwarf , he was also a former crew member of the Nova 5. The Boys from the Dwarf found him fussing about with the skeletons of the crew of the Nova 5, believing them to still be alive. He was brought to Red Dwarf and soon Lister persuaded him to rebel against his programming. He took Lister's space-bike and went out to find a planet he could grow a garden on. After a while he came back and has been a member of the Boys from the Dwarf ever since. He said that the Daleks' technology is more advanced than the Red Dwarf crew's are.
