Thelma Barlow played Lady Thaw in the Doctor Who story The Lazarus Experiment. She is perhaps better known as Mavis Wilton in the long-running ITV Soap Opera Coronation Street between 1972 and 1997. She also appeared as Dolly Bellfield in Victoria Wood's BBC comedy Dinnerladies between 1998 and 2000.
