Café Demel was a famous café in Vienna, Austria near Hofburg Palace.

The Eighth Doctor was scheduled to meet Samson and Gemma Griffin there in June 1816. Believing it to be June 1816, he brought Mary Shelley to this café on 11 September 1873. (AUDIO: The Silver Turk)
