Hot Buns was a butty van that was always parked by the Wrexham bypass in the 1980s. It was run by a gay couple, whom Rhys Williams's uncle Mike and "the lads" did not let them come to harm. Rhys and Mike would drive an extra hour to go there for the bacon baps and chips with curry sauce.
