Michaela Traken

Alongside Chris Akhaten and Nigel Voord-Karabraxos, Michaela Traken was one of the three regular presenters of the TV series Fanwatch, devoted to the observation of the appearance and behaviours of Doctor Who fans in much the same way as one might observe the life and habits of birds.

She was a young woman with short brown hair and a self-confident demeanour, being especially knowledgeable on the subject of "bewildered best friends" who were dragged to conventions by well-meaning fans and spent their time there in a constant state of bewilderment, talking about the character of "Doctor Who" and acting as though Peter Cushing existed. Behind the scenes

• Michaela Traken was obviously named in reference to the planet of Traken, home to the Fifth Doctor's companion Nyssa of Traken, although, especially considering that Fanwatch takes place in a universe where Doctor Who is not shown to be anything more than fiction, it's hard to say there may be some in-universe connection between the two within the context of Fanwatch.
• The name also appears to be a play on Springwatch presenter Michaela Strachan.
