Kirkwall was a location in the Orkney Islands. Ian Chesterton took the Orkney Ferry to Kirkwall in the 2010s to meet Ian and Barbara Marsh, copies of themselves who had been created out of the Marsh-Wains during his visit there in the TARDIS in 1956. (AUDIO: The Revenants)
