IT'S SNOWING!!! Okay, excuse my offline life (I got exited because it suddenly started snowing), but since when was Billie Piper confirmed to ber in series 5? And it classes her as playing an uanounced character. Because Billie is very, very well-known in Doctor Who, there is no way in hell they would introduced a new character played by her - people would be like "That's Rose!" no matter who the character is.

Do you honestly think a well-known actress would return, only to play a different character? Hell no, that isn't happening. Not unless there is hige prostetics and you can't recognise them. I highly dount they would bring a well-known actor to play a different character, it would feel very wrong.

So unless Billie is playing some alien and you therefore can't recognise her, she will be playing Rose. I could imagine Billie Piper playing another character in the same show, and you can recognise her and everything from tip to toe. Unless the character is Rose's descendent or ancestor (such as the Joan Redfern and Verity Newman thing; different characters played by the same actress meaning the characters are related to explain the similarites in appearance). I agree. This is news to me as I haven't heard that. What about Maxil and 6? did they ever explain that one? Geffe71 16:12, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

Maxil and 6 was different. Colin Baker got the role as the sixth doctor after he played Maxil. It's far less likely for someone to look at the new main character and say "oh, that's the same guy from that episode last year". It could easily go unnoticed, whereas giving a former main character a different part would be noticed by most fans.--TemporalSpleen 16:27, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

Today well-known actors of a show only play one character (unless they're under prostetic), because suddely brigning them back to play another character will leave people finding it hard to see them as adifferent characters. If it is a one-off character becoming a major (different) character, that is more likely. But today, see seen, when sifferent characters are played by the same actor, they're related in a form of ancestor or descendent way. (i.e. Joan Redfern and Verity Newman, or that Pompiie guy and Jhon Frobisher being very distant relatives). Delton Menace 19:09, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

Also: Gwyneth and Gwen ;) 86.178.5.146 19:35, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

I searched for any speck of info on Billie coming back and I can not find anything but a spotting on set in September at Neath Abbey with Matt Smith http://www.thisissouthwales.co.uk/southwalesnews/Doctor-Rose-Abbey-filming/article-1328892-detail/article.html. As for actors playing multiple roles i submit this. Frobisher and the Caecilius I do not think are related (dont quote me on that) and they were in different shows (Peter Capaldi is an accomplished actor so he could have been cast in COE because of that). As said by Delton, Joan Redfern/Verity Newman and Gwyneth/Gwen are are related. As for Amy Pond and the unnamed Soothsayer, who knows if that will come up in the new series. Baker wanted Maxil to arrest 6 in his tenure, I guess as a joke, but it never happened from what I have read. Geffe71 19:48, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, give the woman a break.......SHE'S NOT COMING BACK, OKAY? Okay. --Thetwelfthdoctor, 9/1/10, 20:01

I could care less if she comes back, just the facts mac. Geffe71 20:04, January 9, 2010 (UTC)

Geffe, they're not "different shows," they're sister shows. Russell T. Davies commented on a relation between Caecilius and John Frobisher, calling Frobisher a distant descendent of Caecilious. That the Doctor the Doctor was aware that his family should be saved so that his descendent he can play role in the future events involving of Children of Earth, an event where humanity fixes its own mistake. He commentened that the Doctor saving Caecilius and his family was a parallel to their descendents, when the the family line tat was saved by the Doctor was ended by Frobisher in the future wen he killed his family.

There could be a relation between Amy and the Soothsayer, too, though because she wasn't a major character of the episode (at least, no from what I remember) and wore a lot of make-up, no one would notice the similarities between the characters for their to be relation. "Steven Moffat, the man posed to take over the reins of hit BBC Sci-Fi show from Russell T. Davies, has said that much loved character, Rose Tyler, will not be returning to the show for its fifth series.Speaking at the Comic Con convention in America, Steven admitted that he admired the Doctor for ditching Rose, saying: “You have to hand it to the Doctor for dumping a slightly needy girlfriend by palming her off on a copy of himself.

“He tried leaving her in a parallel universe and that didn’t work!"" I don't think she's coming back, thank god 8|

Besides, she's dead. Dead people don't come back unless they're zombies or the Master.
