The Cracks are a possible background storyline of series five of Doctor Who. According to Prisoner Zero, the cracks are in the skin of the universe. The pattern of the Cracks is always the same.

There have been a few cracks in the fifth series of Doctor Who.
- The Eleventh Hour had two cracks in the episode. The first was on Amy Ponds bedroom wall, which soon opened up to another area in the universe. The second was seen on the TARDIS television, which the Doctor looked at before turning off the television. This could be an indication of the TARDIS warning the Doctor.
- The Beast Below showed one crack, which was seen on the side of the Starship UK, a space ship inhabiting the residents of the United Kingdom.
