He had previously worked on Justice Alpha, but requested to transfer as he did not like the way prisoners there were being treated. On Beta he earned a reputation for being a reasonable and kind-hearted warder, and Rizwana Mani described him as "a soft touch". (PROSE: The Monsters Inside)
