A mosaic was a form of art popular in the Roman Empire. Mosaics depicted images in colour. In 2007, a mosaic was uncovered by archaeologists at Crediton Vale, dated to around 70AD. This mosaic depicted a man and woman, a jug, a bunch of green grapes, and a Dalek. (PROSE: I Am a Dalek)
