Sausage

A sausage was a food made of meat, generally associated with the planet Earth. Sausages and burgers were foods common to barbecues. (TV: The Power of Three) They could also be included as part of a full English breakfast, (PROSE: Slow Decay) with mashed potatoes, (TV: Children in Need Special) or with chips. (PROSE: I Am A Dalek)

Throughout his life, the Doctor occasionally mentioned sausage, usually in a metaphorical way. The Tenth Doctor once described a hot dog, a kind of sausage, as "the Cyberman of food". (TV: The Age of Steel) The Sixth Doctor knew an amusing anecdote involving a sausage, which he once recounted to a convocation of lexicologists from the Articulate Worlds.
