So this is a weird one[[edit source]]

Probably not invalid, but really hard to summarize. Also, does anyone know if there's precedent for including "the editor" and "the reader" as characters in a valid source? Reminds me a lot of Life-Cycle in some ways. Najawin 08:38, 3 October 2022 (UTC)

Well there is Human (Attack of the Graske). Could I have more context about this story please? 09:40, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
I did say "valid source". It's written like it's an old time comic. Specifically in reference to The Beano. The story basically goes:
Panel X [Short description of what Panel X looks like]
Dialogue between two characters in Panel X
And then you repeat. It does this for 97 panels. It's a comic, but written out, kinda? It's fairly weird, in terms of DWU stories. Najawin 14:45, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
Well apart from Human (Attack of the Graske) and maybe TARDIS Wiki, I can't think of anything comparable to a reader or editor being part of the Wikification. How come we would need a page on the editor, anyway?
And to be clear, the short story is a transcription of a non-existent comic? 14:51, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
Yeah, the comic doesn't exist afaik. Maybe in the print book? (I doubt it.)
We need a page for the editor because they're in the story, as is the reader.

You silly billies, you’re in a Faction Paradox anthology about their magic time prison! Why don’t you just ask Faction Paradox for help?THE READER (off-panel)

Groan! Fine, I’ll have Faction Paradox written into this. Can’t believe I’ve got to fix someone’s plot again…!EDITOR

I mean, they're very obviously characters called The Reader and Editor interacting with the metafictional conceit that this is a comic as opposed to a story. Hence why it reminds me of Life-Cycle more than Attack of the Graske. It's a weird thing. Najawin 15:18, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
Ohhhhh, I thought you were talking about in-universe Wiki editors, not a book editor. In that case, I'd point you to Narrator (Iris Wildthyme and the Unholy Ghost) and Category:Doctor Who (The Thief of Sherwood) crew, the latter of which has weird hybrid-real-world-slash-fictional characters. 18:18, 3 October 2022 (UTC)

I'm honestly not sure any of those are analogous. Does the Narrator interact with Iris while narrating? Because the characters directly comment on the Editor's existence. Najawin 20:19, 3 October 2022 (UTC)

Oh, just saw the talk page.
however he is also acknowledged by as Iris Wildthyme as a person as well
Kinda works. Still not quite the same thing, but close. Najawin 20:21, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
/Does that stretch+finger-crack thing/ So let's try this. Anyone have any thoughts on the basic format I've thrown up? I'll probably not end up doing X1-(X+1)0 as the range for all of them, but it's just proof of concept. Najawin 03:16, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
