Biography

Early life

Valarie lived at 49 Gibson Avenue on Research Rig 6 with her mother, Patricia Lockwood. Like all humans on Earth in the 54th century, she was fitted with a neural interface at the age of three and later elected to have her limbs replaced with robotic versions. She attended university, during which she was supported by her mother, and became a cyberneticist. (AUDIO: The Inheritance)

Meeting the Doctor

Whilst spending time with her mother and Daniel and Simone Simpson, Valarie met the Eleventh Doctor as he homed in on her plasma cutter whilst trying to disarm a bomb. Arabella Hendricks tasked her with assisting him in finding a cure for the Darinthian Blight, which went on to kill Dan, Simone and Patricia. Valarie and the Doctor learnt that Hendricks was responsible and thwarted her, with Valarie saving the rig from being destroyed by her bombs. Two weeks after her mother's death, she joined the Doctor in his search for Clara Oswald. (AUDIO: The Inheritance)

Travels in the TARDIS

Valarie answered the TARDIS phone to a stranger asking for help, after which the ship was hijacked (AUDIO: The Inheritance) and took them to what seemed to be Venice. (AUDIO: The House of Masks)

In the TARDIS, Valarie asked about the extent of the ship's capabilities and learnt of the Doctor's marriages to Elizabeth I and a woman who killed him, as well as the fact that Queen Victoria wanted him dead. She assured the Doctor that she was ready for the dangers of the universe. (WC: The Eleventh Doctor Returns)
