Mick Carney (PROSE: Fury from the Deep) was the head of a Euro Sea Gas off-shore rig. His rig was surrounded and engulfed by the weed creature, but he and his rig were eventually rescued thanks to the Second Doctor. (TV: Fury from the Deep)
