The city of Ikk-ett-Saleth, which translates to mean City of the Sad Ones, was an Ice Warrior settlement on Mars. This underground settlement was approximately seven kilometers across and lied at the bottom of a huge deep bowl which had been smoothed from Martian rock with speculation believing that it was formed through the use use of Ice Warrior sonic technology. A type of genetically engineered bio-luminiscent fungus was used to light portions of the city.
By 2157, the city was largely abandoned and the Seventh Doctor travelled into it in his journey to the planets North Pole. (DW: GodEngine)
