Hera (mythology)

Hera was a goddess, the queen of the pantheon worshipped throughout Greece and Atlantis. (TV: The Time Monster) She lived with her husband Zeus on Olympus, in the Land of Fiction. (AUDIO: The Wrath of Medusa) The queen of the gods was known to the Romans as Juno. (PROSE: The Slave War, Of the City of the Saved...)

When the Master claimed to be an emissary of the gods, the Atlantean king Dalios, who did not believe they existed, mockingly inquired after Hera. (TV: The Time Monster)

In one myth, Hera sent the Carcinus, a huge malevolent crab, to distract Heracles during his battle with the Hydra. When Carcinus was killed by Hercules, Hera rewarded it by creating the constellation Cancer in its honour. (PROSE: Introduction and Links)

In the City of the Saved, the resurrected Romans came to believe that the Olympian gods had relocated to Mount Antaeus in Gaia Park, and that Jupiter had divorced the "shrewish" Juno to marry Roma. (PROSE: Of the City of the Saved...)
